• Brake Inspection: You will notice that the brakes should be inspected at major service intervals. It is also a good idea to get an expert brake inspection if the brakes make noises or require a greater distance to stop. This is the ideal way to identify braking problems and get the maintenance needed for safety.
• Brake Pad Replacement: Brake pads should be replaced when they are 3mm or .1 inch thick. Newer models equipped with brake pad sensors will have a warning light come on when replacement is needed. Those with older models will emit an audible screech when brake pad maintenance is due. Brake pad replacement is about removing the old pads, inspecting the entire braking system, and installing new pads.
• Brake Rotor Resurfacing/Replacement: Brake rotor maintenance depends on the wear and tear involved. Rotors with minor cracking or grooving can be restored via resurfacing service that removes the blemishes. Rotors with excessive wear or any warping will require replacement service whereby the old rotors are removed and brand new genuine OEM parts installed.
• Brake Fluid Exchange: Hydraulic brake fluid absorbs moisture and might leak from worn parts. It needs an inspection at the recommended miles and exchanged as recommended or before if it loses integrity prematurely. Exchange service involves removing the old fluid, flushing the lines, inspecting the full braking system, and installing fresh brake fluid to specifications.
• Braking Component Repairs: Although most brake services are routine maintenance, other braking components need repairs if damaged. We also repair braking parts, such as calipers, lines, and master cylinder pump. Repairs are completed by certified technicians installing genuine Mopar OEM parts.
