How Often to Change Your Cabin Air Filter

It is best to change your cabin air filter about every 12,000 miles, or every other oil change. (Pro-tip: let us know ahead of time to check your cabin air filter, and if needed, we can replace it while working on your oil change.)

Signs your cabin air filter needs to be replaced:

• Poor air smell coming from vents when the air conditioner is on, or air is coming in from the outside
• When checking the filter, the filter comes out obviously dirty and holding debris such as leaves
• If you have allergies and you can’t escape them even while in the car, your air filter might need to be replaced
